Rope access techniques are used to gain access safely in hard-reach and remote areas mainly at height for ultrasonic thickness measurements (UTM). It is described by IACS as an alternative mean to scaffolding (staging), rafting or cherry pickers use and is accepted by most of the classification societies. Rope access may be requested for owners, CAP and Class surveys. All of our technicians are highly experience climbers, with appropriate training and certified by IRATA while they have been accomplished various NDT projects with success. Below summarizing the advantages of using rope access technique in thickness measurements.
